I have shown works in progress in previous blogs for the Mice of Squeaky Hollow, and here is another update. The Mice are tiny, four inch ooak figures sculpted in polymer clay and dressed in holiday and seasonal costumes.
"Valentines." These little mice are OOAK sculpts in polymer clay and painted with Genesis Heat Set oil paints, Their costumes consist of a needle felted wool hat topped with a ball of wool felt and trimmed with gold cord (for him), a velvet ribbon topped with a flower (for her), specialty trims and hand-dyed silk ribbons. Their tails are made of wire wrapped in a wool yarn (to prevent breakage), and they carry wool felt valentines that are hand beaded.
They are about four inches tall.
"Christmas Mice." These are much like the two above (although slightly smaller), but instead of valentines they carry Christmas stockings. A pair of girl mice will be made for them soon!
"Hallowe'en Mice." Generally similar to the other mice except for their little pumpkins, which are sculpted from air drying paper clay, and are painted with acrylics.
