I have been so busy recently, preparing for the 32nd Annual Fall TACA (Tennessee Association of Craft Artists) Show (September 24-26 at Nashville's Centennial Park), that I just realized that I haven't posted anything in a while. This is a quick update, to show some of the things that I have been working on.
First up are some little mice. They are sculpted in polymer clay and painted with Genesis Heat Set Oil Paints. When finished, they will be dressed in hand-dyed silk ribbon, specialty trims, and, in some cases, needle-felted wool hats.
These little guys need more paint!
All summer I have been making Christmas and Hallowe'en ornaments. The characters are sculpted from polymer clay and are wrapped with specialty fibers. The wool felt ornaments are embellished with free motion embroidery and are hand beaded.
Just a few more weeks to go!
